What i did today is work on a email message to teachers that are teaching year 8 if I may have permission to get the year 8 out on a sports tournament including different sports and doing this blog

What I've been learning about is Community projects and I had to chose different subjects to pick for Community projects and I have chosen Sports tournament and have been learning sports.

JAPAN TSUNAMI

15,896 died, 9.0 Magnitude earthquake- Fact

March 2011, Japan had a 9.0 magnitude earthquake and made a lot of destruction,

While the earthquake was rocking,

A Tsunami alarm occurred and warned the people

that a tsunami was coming and people in Japan fled to find high ground and the earthquake stopped.

The Tsunami started to sweep in people screaming to other to run but they got sweeped,

and 1,000’s died in front of their eyes and the people that saw them die were crying in tears and wept.

Naturalistic Intelligence LVL5

One of the challenges in this activity is to understand what is meant by contours.
Contours on a map are lines that show areas of the same height. Even with this information,
it can be difficult for the students to imagine the terrain,
by simply looking at a map and mentally processing the numbers.
In this situation,
the students can learn a lot by generating a profile of the ocean floor using the
“cross section” method.

If you want to do this first you need to draw a set of axes.
Let the x-axis represent the horizontal distance and the y-axis vertical elevation.
The scale used for the axes must be the same as that used on the map, that is,
1 centimetre represents 10 kilometres on the horizontal.
For the vertical scale, make 1 centimetre represent 1 000 metres.

Verbal-Linguistic Intelligence LVL4

My Group and I have been working on a way we can use Verbal-Linguistic for our maths work, So Mr. Carter helped out by showing us different ways. My group and I chosen to do the map for this subject, We wanted to use a map from a popular online game for our map and the online game is called "Fortnite" So I used google to find a current fortnite map and used it as a treasure map for our work we used East, West, North, South for the map and did a treasure map. Unfortunately, our work cannot be on the blog.

For this subject, My group and I have been working out to what with this, So we worked out to how we are going to this but we thought of doing a maze because it evolves the title. We tried to draw our own but it got to difficult to use our creative but just got a photo from the internet/ Google and used it for our work Unfortunately no photos.

Shapes with body language

My group I, Have been working on finger shapes we included shapes like circle, triangle and other more the most difficult thing about this subject was what kind of shapes we can do with our fingers, Unfortunately, I have no photos but My group and I have worked had to improve our learning to the next level.

Art Reflection

What I did in Art was Print making, I had to Draw my design on a piece of paper and Draw it on a paper looking thing. We used a cutting tool to cut our design and then use a roller to roll this weird looking paint, then we used a A3 paper to put my design on (I created a portrait of myself) and then use a spoon to press to design on the paper because of the paint to make a good looking portrait and make my work in Art look good.

MATH SUBJECT

As a year 10 class, We as class are learning different kind of Geometric work in maths, how I can use body language and shapes to make a geometric shapes in maths.

My Learning Plan:

Me and Marino are working together to make geometric shapes, Marino used fingers to make different make different kind of geometric shapes like Circle, Rectangle, Square, Triangle.

I used Technology to take photos with Marino of our fingers for our body language response.

What I did for the piktochart is information about the years of when food came into New Zealand as a taste and creative thing.

I don't have pics about my map but on the 20th of August I did a marking on a NZ map of Food supplies and I was in a group of four people but completed the whole thing.

English: Essay

In this scene is when Jaapie Botha punishes P.k. The group of children in the church with Jaapie celebrates that Hitler's achievements and Jaapie are punishing P.k because of he and Englishmen.

There is a mid shot of when P.k reacts that his chicken is getting hanged and killed by Jaapie Botha because he is an Englishmen.

Art: German Expression

In Art, I have learnt to draw our self portrait the feature of our face, and we have been learning about German Expression and other Art stuff.

We created our art project outside in social studies, We did different paintings of different stone ages activity's and what they did to survive.

In the movie power of one, the director used  to long shot to make sergeant Borman walking to geel piet.
 For example, sergeant borman stops and looks at geel piet while he is talking to someone. The director did this to show us that geel piet was in trouble.
 It affects the audience by thinking geel piet might get beaten up or is going to die from sergeant borman. It makes us audience sad or maybe angry (maybe).

Matariki Research

What is Matariki?

Matariki is the Maori name for the cluster of stars also known as the Pleiades. It rises in mid-winter and for many Maori, it heralds the start of a new year. Matariki literally means the 'eyes of god' (mata ariki) or 'little eyes' (mata riki).
